A land-retained agreement is a type of arrangement between a property owner and a facilities management company. Typically, it is used when a property owner wishes to retain ownership of a piece of land while allowing another party to manage and maintain its facilities.

Under a land retained agreement, the property owner will retain ownership of the land and any buildings or structures on it. At the same time, the facilities management company will be responsible for managing and maintaining those facilities. The services may include cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

The facilities management company may also be responsible for managing any tenants or occupants, collecting rent or fees, and ensuring that the facilities comply with applicable laws or regulations.

In exchange for their services, the facilities management company may receive a fee or a percentage of any revenue generated by the facilities. The terms of the agreement will be negotiated between the property owner and the facilities management company. They will typically be set out in a written contract.

In general, a land retained agreement is a way for property owners to retain ownership of their land while delegating the responsibility for managing and maintaining the facilities on that land to a third-party facilities management company.
